This workshop will give tips and tricks about how to research and write memoir as a queer person, even if—or especially if—one’s self-conception has changed over the course of one’s life. We’ll begin with a writing exercise, talk about some techniques for researching and writing, and discuss some publication basics.
“It is a queer memoir workshop where writers can get some publishing tips/ask publishing questions, There will be some writing time, and we’ll use some techniques to practice writing a scene.”- andrea bennett.
PLUS the gallery will be open 12-5 on the Saturday, so you can enjoy the art exhibition as well.
There is a possibility that the talk will be available online via Zoom; please contact Giovanni at whattheplusart@gmail.com if you would be interested in attending that way, or get the Zoom attendance info here.
